OSHA NRTL approval requirements apply to ALL electrical equipment as well as some non electrical equipment https://www.osha.gov/dts/otpca/nrtl/prodcatg.html Most local AHJs, and most retailers also want NRTL approval even though legally NRTL approval may not be required.
