Out of curiosity how much cpu does Axis use on > your machine? While running Axis I am using about 60% of the second > core. The last version of 2.6.0-pre before the rename developed an offset in the Z that could not be homed out, so I went back to the slightly newer linuxcnc-2.6.0-pre, problem solved.

Expected, the screen updates for glxgears will eat a lot of time & cpu. I get 7 to 12 u-secs latency running it normal, and under 3 u-secs using taskset and glxgears has no effect if it is run normally. > Worse even than the machine without isolcpus configured at all. That's why I only run one thing at a time using taskset, latency-test OR linuxcnc. > -Tom Cheers Tom, Gene -- "There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury, and ammo.
