I got a keyboard cover from Newark quite some years ago.  You order it, 
they send you
a postcard.  You write on the card the model # of the keyboard and 
answer a couple
questions, and drop it in the mail.  You get back a custom-fitted 
plastic cover.  I had
some doubts about the resistance to oils and hot chips, but it has 
worked AMAZINGLY
well in that regard.  Blue-hot chips will damage it where they land, but 
otherwise it
has been completely resistant to anything I hit it with.

I don't know if Newark carries these universal covers anymore, I 
couldn't find it
in their catalog.  They do have specific covers for Cherry keyboards, see
88H9413 for instance.

I would think Directron, NewEgg, Black Box or similar outfits ought to 
carry a similar
item, too.
