I did check that at the time Steve, and they were both facing the correct way, large diameter end of the inners to the outside, that side also has a dust seal. But the inner races were meeting solidly and when the nut is tight, there is still about 2 thou of play. As shipped, it was about 9 thou with the nut tighter than a bulls butt in fly time. I did check the threads, and there were about 4 left when the nut was solid. I wound up putting a ring of 28 gauge wire so as to space the outer race of one bearing a few thou farther out. But next time I take it apart, I'll lay in a thicker wire, or if I can't find that, another piece of the 28 gauge on the outer race of the other one too. The bevels on the outer edge of the outer races are prominent enough a piece of 30 gauge just rattles in the room the bevel makes. Even most of a 28 gauge wire is absorbed in the bevel. I spent a couple hours getting that wire to lay in there just so. ;-) That, fortunately, is fairly easy to get to, and remounting the far end isn't that big a deal, I just run the nut & carriage out there and bolt it down wherever the nut is holding it.
