I want to thank all of you for the hints and tips!!!
I ended up ordering:
1) 3 pcs of resistors for limiting inrush current when charging capacitor:
https://www.tme.eu/lv/en/details/r100w-47r/power-resistors/sr-passives/

2) 1 pcs contactor to bypass resistors when capacitor charged:
https://www.tme.eu/lv/en/details/mc-18b-24vdc/contactors-main-modules/ls-electric/mc-18b-24vdc-1a1b/

3) 1 pcs resistor to discharge the capacitor:
https://www.tme.eu/lv/en/details/r50w-1k/power-resistors/sr-passives/

4) 1 pcs relay to switch on discharge resistor:
https://www.tme.eu/lv/en/details/gu-ss-124dfs/power-electromagnetic-relays/goodsky/

It seems that I will get those items only next week. I will report
back when I have them all installed.

Viesturs
