Hi Charles and all, Its a fact that no one gives birth to a child for the child's pleasure, but the for one's own sake. My parents didn't do me a favour by giving me birth. People have wives and children for their own benefit, happiness and entertainment.
So, parents must not expect too much from their children. Like parents, children are independent humans too, who have their own lives and aspirations. About daughters taking care of parents : Women are more caring, tender and considerate. Also, daughters mostly live with their husbands, away from their parents. This makes the bond between their parents and them stronger. The closer you live, the distant you become. ;) "It is not a bad thing that children should occasionally, and politely, put parents in their place." -Colette "Where did we ever get the crazy idea that in order to make children do better, first we have to make them feel worse? Think of the last time you felt humiliated or treated unfairly. Did you feel like cooperating or doing better?" -Jane Nelson "Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They came through you but not from you and though they are with you yet they belong not to you." -Gibran Good day! briana --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "English Learner's Cafe" group.
