I need something more concrete than this vague statement. :)

What issues are you seeing?
Why are they urgent out of the blue? The emotion vlc backend is only
in emotion_generic_players and not in efl and there have been almost
now work on it for some time. I have problem to understand why it
becomes so urgent a week before the release. I want to get people out
of the habit to do it all just before the release. :)

At this point I only consider critical fixes as worthy to go in.
Nothing conceptual or architectual. That has to wait until 1.10.

I list with concrete critical issues would be good to work with so we
can see what needs to make it before the release.
