Set vlan create <Somevlan>
Set vlan name <SomeName>
Sho neigh
What ever the uplink is
Set vlan egress <Somevlan> <Someuplink> tagged

Tag packets on the uplinks and untagged on the access ports. You can leave vlan
1 untagged on the egress but it's not really needed.

The ip of the switch needs to be set to the host vlan and that also needs to
egress the uplink. Ideally have it on a management vlan

Then set your access ports to the vlan and you should be golden.

Sounds likes you may be on the Nexus platform. I totally agree the commands are
different, I'm having issues with the Cisco side.

So for Nexus setting the port vlan is
Conf t
Int Ethernet 1/0/10
Switchport access vlan <someVlan>

To do the same thing
Set port vlan <SomeVlan> <SomePort>

You can turn on gvrp, but don't do that. Egress them all it'll give you better
performance.

I am having trouble getting them configured at all. The commands are very
different than on Cisco switches.

I know I have to create all of the vlans on the Enterasys switches because they
don't recognize VTP but I am not having any luck.

What is the problem you are having? We have Enterasys to Cisco back to
Enterasys and vice versa... Sending trunked vlans both directions.

Thanks,
Reese

Hello All,

Until now, we have been a Cisco network. We recently purchased Enterasys
switches and I am having trouble getting them connected to our Cisco network.
Does anyone have any experience adding Enterasys switches to a Cisco network?
