All, We've had quite the time when we moved from our old obsoleted Cisco network equipment to our new shiny, full-of-love Enterasys network equipment. We run Enterasys from core to edge now.
A few pointers that we took to heart from "Uncle Alex" in the UK when he came to visit. * Turn of GVRP, manage the network, don't let the network manage you. * Hand crafting egress is a good idea. You know _exactly_ what is going where and it stops rogue switches/end users being disobedient. * Listen to the community and experience, doin't be afrad to ask for help when you need it. We're all in this together. We recently purchased Enterasys switches and I am having trouble getting them connected to our Cisco network. Does anyone have any experience adding Enterasys switches to a Cisco network? ________________________________ This email and any files transmitted with it are to be treated as confidential and as such are not to be used or disclosed except for the purpose for which it has been sent.
