The only problems MS has acknowledged are the 15 character limit on category
names and the fact that creating a category in Entourage will not create a
corresponding category on the Palm when synched. I too was bitten by the 15
character bug, but after a little cleanup, everything's been working happily
with my Palm Vx. These are the steps I took after being informed of the
bug... YMMV:

1) Deleted all categories in Entourage and hard-reset the Palm (wiping out
all information)
2) Created the categories I wanted to use on the Palm first and then synched
(Which created the categories in Entourage).
3) Reassigned categories to items in Entourage (Contacts, Events, Tasks &
Notes) and synched again.

Ever since doing this, everything's been fine with the synching of E'rage
and the Palm. Like I said, YMMV, but I'm pretty confident that this should
clear up any problems.
