That would probably be the safest way to ensure that you don't end up with
duplicate contacts.

Perform an Advanced Find with Item Types "Calendar Events" and the criteria
"Category - Is not - None". Select All and delete. Repeat with "Category -
Is - None" to catch the straggling non-categorized events.

All I CAN say is that, according to the publicly acknowledged bugs in the
Palm/Entourage conduit and my personal experience, this should work for you.
In the end, though, that amounts to about ¢5 worth of advice... but then
again you'll have that Palm Desktop backup to fall back on. Just remember
from now on that, if you want to add a category, to so on the Palm.
