FWIW - I had a DSL account with Earthlink/Mindspring and could not use smtp.mac.com - I ad to use mail.earthlink.net I now have a cable account with the same ISP and use smtp.mac.com (with authorization). Peter J. Paul [EMAIL PROTECTED]
