I disagree; I think the help provided is very comprehensive, and far better
than is found in many programs. You do have to poke around sometimes, but
there is an enormous amount of information there.

As for books...you didn't say what book you had bought, nor did you comment
on my recommendation of the O'Reilly book,Office 2001: "The Missing Manual".
I think that is quite comprehensive.

I would agree with the general implication of this, that Microsoft REALLY
should have provided a definitive reference manual for a product that costs
so much and has so many complex features (particularly when you include
Word, Excel and PowerPoint, along with VBA). If it could not be ready in
time for the product release, then the product should have included a
certificate for a free manual to be available at a later date.
