Isn't the recipient the person to whom a message was sent?  And doesn't "any
recipient" include the TO, CC and BCC ... but not the From?  I think that's
John's problem.  He's using "any recipient" when he's trying to track down a
message From someone.

John, next time make your first Criterion: From and then, if you want to be
sure to cover all the bases, add a second Criterion: Any Recipient.  That
should do it.
