One field, a "container" field, can hold graphic images that incorporate text--"gif" files, for instance, or you can keep the text and the images separate. (I've not tried pasting in an article with picture, so I can't speak to that.) Initially I wanted to use Entourage for my research notes, but found it much better to design my own bibliography/research database with FMP. FileMaker also has available a downloadable app called Framework Solution. It's a scriptable, menu-driven, customizable set of databases.
