There is a free trial version you can try. It is a Cocoa application using and providing services. Eastgate <http://www.eastgate.com> has released an application called TinderBox, which is a very powerful note/idea organizer. It is all based on hypertext so everything can be linked, and you can create agents which will search for links within data you have collected. The version is currently for OS 9, but they promise a free update to OS X available soon. You would need to check both of these out. I am not sure on their image capabilities, or how large a note they can handle.
