Personally, I am loath to see people go beyond 9.1 if they don't use OS X - the 9.2 tree only really brought 'enhancements' to make OS 9 play better with OS X (or rather, some steps back, to not make the differences so glaring - I particularly love the 'slow launch' feature). > AppleScript 1.6 (including Standard Additions 1.6) That's what I'd personally suggest - just stay up to date on the components.
