All 5 are where they're supposed to be. And, while I have only a few scripts running (other than the preinstalled ones), I've never had trouble with any of them. > You should immediately upgrade either to: > > OS 9.2.1 (but NOT 9.2.2, which has worse bugs) > > OR just > > AppleScript 1.6 (including Standard Additions 1.6) > > AS 1.6 goes into Extensions folder, St. Add. 1.6 into Scripting Additions > folder. Thanks. I will try AS 1.6 tomorrow . (My system is very stable these days and I'd just as soon not upgrade to 9.2.any flavor until I'm ready to go to OS X.) But . . . > In a few days or so, there will be a new OS update, or at least AS 1.8. and > CarbonLib 1.6 which will work with OS 9.2.2 or 9.2.3, When that happens, > wait a few days for reports (MacFixit, me), and that will be the way to go. Remember all that fuss when people were upgrading to CarbonLib 1.3.1 and, I think, 1.4 as well? Well, because of that and because I've never been aware of any need to do so I never upgraded CarbonLib at all. Should I? Could this be the problem? If so, to what version should I upgrade, taking into account that I plan to stay in OS 9.1 for the time being? Thanks for the reply. I'll let you know what happens.
