I'll answer for Jud, until he corrects me. Emailer was made by Fog City
before Claris and  Apple bought it. Emailer was created by Jud Spencer, who
started it at Fog City and then continued it at Claris before Apple closed
it down. Entourage is not really "based on" Emailer, although it uses a few
things from it.
