There are dozens, if not hundreds, of posts in the microsoft.public.mac.* newsgroups from people who are reporting frequent unexpected quits and other problems with Office X and Jaguar, and especially Word X. Today MacFixit posted a message from Rik Myslewski, editor of MacAddict magazine http://www.macintouch.com/mosxreader10.2pt28.html He has been suffering from so many Word crashes that he is considering a move to another product. Rik claims that he has discussed his problems with people at Microsoft, but that so far, they have not been able to provide any solutions. I certainly don't know what is going on here, but it looks like there are some issues that need fixing. While I am not a heavy user of Word, I do use Explorer and Entourage a lot. Except for a recent incident of DB corruption and some minor UI glitches, Entourage has been reliable for me. But Word and Explorer probably account for over 80% of the crashes and freezes I see in OS X. -- Julian Vrieslander <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> -- To unsubscribe: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> archives: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.letterrip.com/> old-archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/entourage-talk%40lists.boingo.com/>
