By the way... it is my opinion that this update installer is very broken. I don't have a problem with the update... just the installer.
First of all, the installer should scan the Office folder for permission issues so that it can provide the user with a notification, at least, that the updater needs to be run as another user or provide an authentication dialog so that it can be installed with Administrator privileges. Secondly, if the installer is *not* going to check for permission issues it should back out of changes it has made to the destination folder if it is unable to finish the installation. It's not nice to complete an update part-way and then leave the software broken because it ran into a problem.
