If you are using the IMAP Sent folder, I'd try re-selecting the folder in
your account setup.  Go to Tools -> Accounts, then open the IMAP account.
Click "Advanced", then under "Store Sent Messages in this IMAP folder",
click "Choose" and re-select your Sent folder.

I'd also try selecting the local Sent Items folder, and reporting back to us
as to whether that makes a difference.
