I'll leave my own opinion of whether chastisement was well-deserved or not
out, and just ask that you please keep subjects accurate and to the point in
the future.  You could always say "No answer? <original subject>" without
posting misleading info.

Your original subject "manual vs. automatic" was a bit vague, and that may
have contributed to your lack of response (along with its posting on
Christmas day).  Maybe "Changed account fails to check on schedule"?
