Ha. I actually leave HTML off on my machine, but replied to that particular
bit of mail on my wife's machine which had HTML turned on.

My objections to HTML in mail:

1. I'm old fashioned.

2. Entourage renders HTML, especially complex html so slowly. If it were
faster perhaps I'd perceive it differently.

3. Selecting bits of text on complext html pages is often a hassle.

4. I like to see the actual url I am clicking onto as opposed to a link.

5. I prefer my mail as fixed width text with the font of my choosing.

6. I prefer my images as attachments.

7. I've had email and computers long enough to know the most archival format
for anything is plain text.  (My entourage database contains very ancient
mail imported from the well to compuserve to eudora to emailer to
entourage...) One of the reasons I think my data has always been accessible
and importable is that as much as possible I keep it as unstyled text.
