I don't know what all the hue and cry against HTML is all about.. The only
excuse is the security concern, if there is any, and if there is I wish
someone would explain it to me.

 I like HTML because I can pick any font I want. In plain text if some one
sends me an  Email in absurdly small and dull fonts, I'm stuck with their
font should I reply, in plain text. With HTML, I can can still change my
font in an return (REPLY) letter. Since I'm blind in one eye and can't
hardly see in the other, I prefer a larger and/or bolder font, thus I need
HTML.
