It sounds to me like the problem is with their Exchange account. Entourage
is having trouble with something in it. It's the only thing that makes sense
if you can reproduce the issue on another computer (which doesn't usually
exhibit the problem) when you setup their account.

I've never tried this with an Exchange account, and if you're using SSL it
won't work at all, but have you tried using TCPFlow to watch the
conversation?
