I¹ve posted this question before, but there¹s never been a response. I¹m
hoping someone will have some insight into how to address this problem, or
to whom I can report it to get some help.

I¹m using:
Entourage 11.2.5
On a MacBook Pro 17² Core Duo (although the problem occurred on my 17²
PowerBook which this replaced)
With OS X 10.4.8.

I¹m trying to keep my iCal in synch with my Entourage calendar for two
purposes:
1. To allow myself access to my calendar from other computers using .Mac
sharing, and
2. To allow my family access to my calendar via ³publish²

I only enter and delete calendar events on Entourage.

I also synch Entourage with my Treo 700p using Missing Sync version 5.1.2
and the Microsoft conduits.

>From time to time, I find that certain calendar events are duplicated in
both Entourage and iCal.

I¹ve isolated the following characteristics of the problem:

1. It happens only with, and with all, events created as ³all-day events² in
Entourage.
2. I categorize all events in Entourage, so the duplicated events show up as
³uncategorized².
3. When I view the Calendar in Entourage in list view, uncategorized events
only, all the duplicated events show a time of 12:00am
4. I¹ve turned off sharing iCal via .Mac to try to isolate the problem, to
be sure that it¹s not corrupt data on another Mac. This was after manually
deleting all iCal information on all Macs, and restarting Sync Services with
a full ³Entourage overwrites Sync Services² process. I¹m now convinced that
the problem happens via Sync Services within a single computer.
5. I¹m fairly convinced that the Treo Sync is unrelated, although I can¹t be
absolutely sure.
6. When this happened most recently, iCal was running when the system
crashed (wouldn¹t wake from sleep). I also had a force-quit of Entourage
(Database Daemon hang in Activity Monitor) while iCal was running. Upon
restart, opening iCal led to the duplication of untimed events only.

Is this a known problem? Is there someone who can help me with suggestions
for prevention?

Thanks,
Barry
