I tried both Refresh and Repair, and the messages went away. Thanks Larry and Dale for your suggestions.
Perhaps there¹s an equally simple solution to my disappearing/reappearing message problem? Yesterday, I sent myself a test message. The message immediately appeared in my inbox on the server (checked via the web), yet took 1 hr 30 minutes to show up in my Entourage inbox. This despite my clicking ³send and receive² more than once. Often these days, messages show up in my Entourage inbox momentarily and then disappear for varying lengths of time. I¹m finding I can¹t trust Entourage anymore and have to double check through web access to make sure I¹ve seen every message. Sometimes individual messages disappear, sometimes none of the new messages appear at all. Entourage tells me there are no new messages when there actually are.
