I have found that when the number of emails, attachments, projects, etc. in
my database exceeds a certain (unknown) threshold, the program starts to
exhibit momentary freezes whenever it retrieves email. The more stuff in my
database, the longer the freezes.

If your freezes happen while retrieving email, but the program then resumes
operating normally afterward, then I bet this is what your problem is. If
so, then clean up your database (remove attachments, archive older emails
and projects, etc), then run the database utility and all will be good.

If it¹s freezing at other times and/or doesn¹t recover without a force quit,
you have something else wrong.

My computer has frozen 3-4 times recently ‹ twice this morning ‹ when using
Entourage. (Office 2004). Any idea why?
