We have a Mac user with a MacBook Pro 15", 2.0 GHz, 3 GB RAM, OS
10.4.10, Office 2004 with 11.3.8 update installed using Entourage
connecting to Windows Exchange Server 2003 SP2, who is having problems
with her Office Notifications.

 

1.    It comes up on the left side of her screen, filling a 2-3 inch
wide from top to bottom space, all in white but she cannot read her
calendar events and she cannot clear it.

 

2.    She has 796 reminders (as of 11/02/07) and calendar items going
back to January 2003; she is working to manually delete this items up to
24 months ago.

 

3.    I set the schedule to delete all non-reoccurring calendar items
older than 24 months on logon, though I don't know if this works.

 

4.    I deleted the Office and Entourage preferences from the user's
\<username>\Library\Preferences\Microsoft but that didn't do it either.

 

 

Any suggestions or websites to check out for an answer would be helpful.
The user has graduated to "panic" level.
