The tinyurl being referred to in the link I posted is tinyurl.com -- note
that the feedback address offered in that thread on expired URLs is

I've seen at least a dozen examples of tinyurl.com misdirecting links on the
copyediting list I subscribe to. A dozen out of hundreds, perhaps thousands,
but still -- it's not unheard of.

I wonder how many people here actually USE tinyurl? Getting no reports of
misdirected links from among a group of non-users is no surprise. :)
