PS Dare I say that I think the meter in the EOS-1v is a little better than
the EOS-3? I find most of the exposure mistakes that I make with the EOS-1v
is when I compensate like I would with the EOS-3. Naaa! That'd just lead to
fights, so I won't say it. :)

No. They are the same. Same metering system, just a different algorithm for
the AF.
