Ha, I was talking to the owner of the store today where your order is
backordered, he's really appreciative that you have stuck with him so far.

> In other words, do you think I will notice any difference?
> 1) Cross-type AF sensor (old camera senses vertical lines, sometimes)

You should theoritically, especially when there are less features on a
particular subject to focus on.

> 2) Seven AF sensors (old camera has one sensor)

On auto AF selection mode you will, of couse. I have found that in airshow
and car racing shots I've been using the center point only, although I have
tried auto AF selection mode in AI servo (where initial AF point is the
center, and then the rest of the AF points will pick up as necessary), and
the result has been not too bad.

> 3) 4fps (vs 1fps if I'm lucky)

Most definately, unless you strictly shoot static, non-moving subjects.

> 4) 1/125 flash sync (vs 1/90 sync)

Most definately again, in daylight fill situation, the faster the shutter
speed, the less likely you will develope noticeable blur, I've seen blurred
images at even 1/200sec on the -3 using the long end of the 100-400 IS (with
IS on of course) for portrait.

> 5) Metal lens mount (vs polycarbonate that can hold a 100-400!)

Probably.

> 6) Whisper drive (vs shutter/wind noise to wake the dead!)

It would be helpful in some situations.

Ken
