The same thing ALWAYS happens with 2CR5 batteries in my
Elan IIe when shooting in cold weather.  I take a new battery
out of my shirt pocket, swap them and put the old battery in
my shirt pocket.  Soon the new battery will do the exact same
thing and I'll swap batteries again.  It's a royal pain in the
neck but it's the only way I can get through an outdoor shoot
in cold weather.  An I'm not talking about snow and freezing
temperatures.  This happens when it's below 50 degrees F.
