Maybe I've just been lucky, but my EOS 5 and Elan II with 2CR5 batteries
seem to be able to handle the cold as well as I can. I have learned
that once the battery indicator on the EOS 5 shows anything less than
full, I should change the battery with the next roll of film. The Elan
seems a bit more tolerant. This still works out to about 40 rolls of
film (with minimal flash use) in either body. I did have that nasty
problem of the battery not making good contact in the Elan. A small
piece of plastic wrapper seems to have fixed the problem.

Isn't it just Ni-Cads that have the cold weather problems?
