Maybe you will get better shots. But it will only be shots of single
people, or maybe a couple - 70-200 does not lend itself to group shots too
much. To get closeup shots of the ring being placed on the finger, etc.
your 300mm may be a better focal length - just use fast film - the fuji 800
speed colour neg films are very good - just make sure that they are not
expecting any larger than about 11x14 enlargements.
For group/general shots, I think it would be more worthwhile to get more
flash power - in the form of a 550EX. Maybe even a battery pack for it too.
Inside at f8, you will be relying of flash alot and flash power and recycle
time become important when you want to capture alot of shots in a short
space of time. Admittedly, I've never covered a wedding, but I've thought
about it alot and from the other event work I've done I've found flash is
king (it works for me!). Also the amount of film I would consider shooting
(at least 10 rolls of 36), you will need alot of spare AA batteries for the
flash - my flash seems to die after about 4-5 rolls.
