slot that accepts the flange on a round filter.

I just looked at it and it looks doable. The outer diameter
of the flange on the 20-35 is about 1mm less than the
diameter of the Cokin P adapter ring, and it is also a
fraction of a mm thinner, so the adapter slides directly
onto the lens but is quite loose. There is undoubtedly a
way to shim a Cokin P adapter so that it fits reasonably
firmly on this lens. The only question is the simplicity or the
elegance of the hack. I haven't seen Willem-Jan's modification.
I've modified a Cokin P adapter to work with the Lindahl
EF/X bellows hood, but that's a different kettle of fish <)B^)
