I have a new 420EX on an Elan 7, so that's a similar camera, and am
gradually building up a track record with it, and seeing how it works
in various situations. I have to say it is working beautifully.
Obviously I have to learn how to *use* it, but even at this stage -
it's really "smart.". FE lock is really fun to experiment with!
In addition to the units John mentioned, the MR-14EX ring flash will
also work as a master in a wireless slave situation.
Now I have a question about 550EX/420EX slaving. Will the
DOF/modeling flash function fire the modeling flash on the master and
all the slaves as well?
