I believe I'm using a custom fuction on my EOS 10 to allow manual focus
touch up in one shot focus mode. It's working well - of course in servo
mode, no touch up is allowed at any time :-)
I find it handy to shift the DOF a bit sometimes manually. In any case,
I leave this custom fuction on all the time. I tried putting focus control
on the auxilliary button, but I lose partial metering then, plus that button
is too hard to hold and use. I generally also only have the centre focus
point active. I can't quite figure out why anyone would want more focus
sensors - how the heck can the camera tell which thing I want to focus on?
Only I know that.
Jim
