I assume that your Zeiss does not have the electronic
interface to work together with the camera body.
Therefore, the camera shows 00 as aperture. Now the
exposure time the camera should show is the time to
get a correct exposure for the aparture set on your
lens (or the max. aperture of the lens in case of a
not correctly mounted Canon lens). It seems though
that my Elan 7 cannot handle that. It does not show
the correct exposure time. Maybe about 2-3 stops
under. My 1ns can handle it without any problem. So I
would assume that Canon did mess up here with the Elan
7 and that this is not a problem that only you have.
