That's strange...my OCSC2 has the groove...and it fits my Hama folding 
bracket.  But if your cord is missing the proper groove, you can buy a 
small ball head to fit between the bracket and the OCSC2.  I have a couple 
of these (no brand on them...they are not expensive) that are made 
specifically to mount flashes. They can be mounted in a hot shoe or they 
are threaded to mount on a  tripod or light stand. At the top is a shoe for 
your flash.
