The difference between 1/2 and 1/3 is 1/6. I doubt
that this make such a big difference, even on slides.
What I like about the 1/3 is that in situations where
I am not so sure what the best exposure is I braket
with 2/3. From my experience this gives me a better
chance to get a good exposure because in such
situations 1/2 is a bit little and 1 stop is a bit
high. Ok, you could argue that I just said between 2/3
and 1/2 there is only a difference of 1/6. The point
is that in difficult situations my guess could be more
then 1/2 off so braketing over 2/3 help me more. Well,
at least that is my experience. Maybe I am just not
good enough in choosing the right exposure.
