Hi Craig,
Good question. In addition to the AF points lighting up the plane
of focus, the most common reason is when I want to temporarily
disable custom settings. E.g. MLU, 2nd curtain sync, FEC, FEB,
or even just plain exposure bracketing.
So, if I only want a single shot with AI Focus and Evaluative
metering, that's what green mode can give with a quick twist of
the command dial, instead of the fifteen button-pushes I would
need to undo the custom settings. (and the fifteen keypresses
to set them back afterwards)
Pity there is no "User selection" for Custom functions like there
is for eye-control calibrations :-(
Is there really is a place for barcodes?
Cheers
