Hi Julian,

hahha...harsh, man.

At least he did have some nice things to say about it. Anyway, I
can't wait: my new Elan 7e should arrive tomorrow. (If it
doesn't, anyone within a one-mile radius had better take cover.)
I sold my Rebel 2000 to someone needing a backup body and used
the money for the upgrade. I'm gonna take the camera on my
honeymoon to Japan this summer! woohoo! (By the way, if you wanna
criticize Greenspun, go read his travelogue on Japan or his
"Street Photography" article and join the party! :) Actually, I
like most of his stuff. But those were the two articles in which
he really asks for it.)

So you have an Elan 7e now? I remember that not long ago you were
using a Rebel. How do you like the Elan? Based on my experience
with it, I'm not going to be upgrading for a great while. It's
really all the camera I could use. I guess it's what I should
have bought the first time around...I'm stoked to finally have a
camera with 2nd curtain sync. (yeah, I know, I don't ask for
much.) Well, eye control is another big step up for me too.
Actually, there's a lot of features to be appreciated in that
body. I'm just glad to finally have a "real" camera.

Anyway, wish me luck so that my mail lady brings me my lucky box
tomorrow.

later,
Chris
