Hi Chris,
:-)
The invoice date is 04 March 2001. Cameraworld had a weekend sale on EOS stuff, and
some kind soul posted a heads-up to the list. At that point I had only been
contemplating replacing the 5 with the 7 (the Command Dial had not yet broken), but
when I saw the price I didn't hesitate. The actual price was $386.21; with the
savings over the regular price I bought Canon's four-year warranty extension ($40),
and after my experience with the 5 I'm glad I did. Batteries were another 11.00, and
the whole thing was shipped free of charge, so I got the 7, the warranty, and
batteries for $437.19 shipped. Not too bad!
Note that with Canon USA's current rebate, you can get a 7 for $399 plus shipping
from B&H. Also, this (and what I bought) is the 7, not the 7e. In all cases these
are USA models, not gray.
