I have just bought the 100-400 and an EOS 3 body and was wondering about the load the lens mount can handle. Are there any specifications to the weight and the length of the lens that the mount can support in a vertical (hanging) as well as in a horisontal orientation? I supppose hanging it from your shoulder is perfectly OK but what about changing settings while holding the body with both hands and the zoom extended to 400mm?
