One does have to have a bit of luck with these auction sites. Even better,
it helps to be armed with real facts, like, for instance, the current new
retail price! In the case of our favorite cult lens in this thread, the
50mm 1.8 M1, there is another variable in that it is no longer available.
Still, one has to ask if it really makes sense to pay more than $100 for
this lens. I bid $80 on 5 of these lenses before I "won." The first four
drove well above $120! $40+ difference is a lot of film frames!
