Hi Miha On my 1v I use the 28-135 IS USM lens for the past 2 years and it works very well, without any problems, so far. I use it for Weddings and Quinceanera's and other events and find it works great in regards to portraits, full figure shots of bride and groom, even groups of 8 or so people. For altar shots this I've used a a 550EX on camera and another light on a stand and works great. I use the Lee Filter system which I bought because I was told I would not have vignetting with this filter system on this 28-135 lens. However, I still experience vignetting with a wide-angle of 28 so I'm forced to expose at a width of 35 to avoid vignetting and at this (35) width the sharpness really falls off. Its terrible at this width. This has been my experience. So, for the larger groups my remedy is to use an Elan 7 with Canon's 24mm 2.8 lens which produces great results at the wide end. I use this lens with a Cokin Filter system. On my Lowe Pro belt I carry the Lee Filter wallet and when its opened it drops to my knee and exposes my filter for ready access. I carry 1 Softar, a Star filter, a #1 & 2 softeners. Almost all of my shots are with a number 1 filter on both cameras. Yet, they both focus quickly without "hunting." I would find it very difficult to do a wedding without the 28-135 though I pray for a faster lens in this same size. Sorry the reply is so lengthy but wanted to give you a good idea about the lens. Just my thoughts and hope this helps. john
when you have large groups of 12 or so across, I've used the 35mm to avoid vignetting * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
