JD's explanation is exactly correct, but it sort of misses part of the
story.  Your 50mm view will be cropped so the relationship between
objects stays the same, as JD said, but with the D60 the objects "fall
outside the frame", or, rather, have their edges cropped off.  When you
back up to get the same framing you had before, **then** your
perspective will change, so once you back up, that 50mm lens has the
same perspective/framing as an 80mm lens on a 35mm camera from the same
distance.  

The only difference between the two views is that you will have the
depth of field of the 50mm lens rather than the depth of field from the
80mm lens  (so basically, all things are equal except you get more depth
of field and you have to use a different lens).
