Hey Chip,

Well, I am hoping that the IS version of this lens will be a bit longer,
maybe closer to 90mm than to 70mm. At the time I got the 28-135 IS, I could
not afford the 28-70. Now that I'm used to IS, I can't imagine getting a
lens without it! I dislike carrying tripods and I shot mostly with Velvia
(ISO 40). I shoot very often at f/8 late in the afternoon, so I find IS a
blessing... While I don't really need f/2.8, I do appreciate the optical
quality of L lenses... For shooting late in the afternoon with Velvia, IS is
a blessing... :)
